A natural extension of pottery painting

I took a pottery workshop a few months ago. Here are some photos of the pieces I made. Once they were at the leathery stage (dry enough to hold its shape but moist enough to still be manipulated), I used various tools to decorate each piece. I didn't paint the one on the very bottom.
